Alloy
wheel technical information
Replacing the standard wheels with alloy wheels not only provides benefits
in appearance but also in the driving experience. This is emphasised when a
larger wheel and tyre combination is applied, providing improvements in road
holding and steering response.
There are various influencing factors to the fitment
and safety of aftermarket wheels :
>>> P.C.D. <<<
>>> Centre
bore <<<
>>> Offset <<<
>>> Diameter <<<
By purchasing alloy wheels from Drivers you can be assured that the wheels
will satisify the above criteria. In addition, all alloy wheels purchased are
covered by a 1 year warranty covering manufacturing defects. There is no warranty
offered on chrome or polished wheels.
At Drivers we provide a complete fitting service as part of our wheel and tyre
packages so you can be assured of the correct safety and fitment.
When
fitting new wheels we carry out extensive checks:
• The wheels
locate correctly on the hub
and are seated properly
on the hub face
• The
wheel bolts are of the right pitch, length
and seating for vehicle/wheel combination
• There
is no fouling of alloy wheel on
suspension
or braking components
• The
wheels rotate freely
on both front and rear
hubs

We only use the highest quality Haweka wheel balancing equipment that can accurately
balance wheel and tyre combinations upto 22 inch diameter. We also use
lead-free adhesive balance weights to avoid damage to alloy wheels.
Alloy wheel care
In order to maintain the finish on your alloy wheels it is recommended that
you use a soap and water based solution. Such alloy wheel cleaners can contain
chemicals which with excessive use will deteriorate the finish on your alloy
wheels.
Drivers
can take care of all your install needs.
