
Revo
Technik were the first company to develop serial port
tuning for VAG vehicles. The advantage of of using Revo’s
patented Resident Encrypted Variable Output Serial Port Programming
allows reprogramming of the ECU without ever raising the bonnet.
It’s uploaded via the factory OBD2 diagnostic port and will rewrite the
code in just a few minutes. All of the concerns associated with re-soldering
on the ECU and
the reliability of encryption modules are therefore eliminated. |
By
working with, not against the original vehicle systems Revo engineers
are able to produce a powerful, smooth but importantly safe map.When
designing new software Revo engineers will spend on average 5 days
continouly data logging and refining the software to achieve optimum
settings. The impressive results achieved are due the near infinite
adjustability of specific tables resulting in better power,driveability
and fuel economy.
Revo performance software is complimented by multiple performance programs, anti
theft programs and user friendly variable table changes that become accessible
when you purchase an optional Serial Port Switch. This will give you access to
many different levels of enhancements built into the Revo performance software.
You may want to switch to take advantage of better fuel qualities, or to ensure
you are getting the most from any optional bolt on tuning accessories like performance
exhaust systems, performance air filters or intercoolers. And for the ultimate
enthusiast, it allows you to “tune” your vehicle’s fuel, boost
and timing settings for maximum performance
SPS 1
allows the user to switch between modified and stock software settings.
SPS 2
allows switching between two performance programs for 95RON and 98RON fuel settings,
anti theft mode and standard software.
SPS3
is the for the serious enthusiast who wishes to extract the maximum performance
from the software and modifications to their vehicle. This version has similar
features to SPS 2 but with the added benefit of having variable boost and timing
control. This gives the user the ability to select the desired boost level for
what ever they are doing, be it a track day or a long trip. The adjustable timing
allows the user to maximize power by adding or removing engine ignition timing.
All safety mechanisms are left intact to prevent the user from setting the engine
to operate outside of the safety limits.
Some customers are wary of modifying their car and the resultant effect that
it will have. For this reason Revo Technik offer a free 5 hour trial on some
petrol applications. The trial is activated for 5 hours driving time after which
it will return the vehicle to standard without the user having to return to the
dealership. In addition Revo Technik offer a lifetime warranty on their software. |
