GREENSTUFF
Sport & Premium Street Brakes

Designed for premium street driving offering better brake effect at loads and speed. EBC Greenstuff has a high initial brake effect and gives drivers confidence from first application of the brake pedal. There is no such thing as a NO DUST pad. The very nature of how a brake works requires that some dust be generated to avoid rotor vibration (shimmying). The EBC pad creates less dust and dust is more easily washed off than most. All pads create more dust as they are bedding in especially if rotors are worn. Nominal friction coefficient 0.55. For heavier faster cars and vehicles above 200bhp we strongly recommend Redstuff which DOES offer much less dust.

REDSTUFF
These are SUPERB & Low Dust...
EBC Redstuff is a completely new compound formulated in 2002 that has been seriously track tested throughout 2003 and is a real favorite with rally drivers and seriously fast street use on quick sedans. Redstuff Ceramic is one of the most widely used pads on Impreza, Evolution, FTO, RX7, RX8, M3 cars all over Europe. Featuring triple layer noise reduction shims, edge chamfers and Brake-InTM coating for fast pad seating, these pads have a medium friction when cold and can withstand heavy loads and speeds. Pads are shimmed, chamfered and slotted for silent operation and feature EBC's Brake-In surface coating for fast bed-in of new pads after installation.

 


YELLOWSTUFF
These Yellow Combination Street & Track are even better

EBC Yellowstuff is made in 2 formulations and DM1846 is the specialty compound for faster and higher horsepower cars for fastest street use and track. Although a full blown race compound, EBC Yellowstuff DM1846 has distinct advantage over normal race pads in that braking from cold is excellent (most race pads require warm up making them unsuitable for highway driving). This is NOT a low dust pad (EBC Redstuff Ceramic is our lowest dust formula for this vehicle range) but if maximum brake effect and resistance to high temperatures and speeds is what you need, then EBC Yellowstuff DM1846 is the perfect choice.

Pads are shimmed, chamfered and slotted for silent operation and feature EBC's Brake-In surface coating for fast bed-in of new pads after installation.

Choose from plain non drilled Discs or EBC sport discs in two choices - wide aperture 3GD series for cooler running or new SUPER SILENT Ultimax BlackDash USR slotted series



EBC Non-Drilled DISCS

For lowest price point and normal street replacement the Ultimax non-drilled Discs are a great choice. High quality gray iron casting precision machined to exactly the same tolerances as discs used fitted to your car from new. In race use it is generally accepted that a non-drilled disc delivers a slightly higher brake effect than drilled but if you are using your vehicle off road or for light race use read below ...


Ultimax BlackDash USR Slotted Discs

The narrower multi slot design of the Ultimax sport disc and the progressive angle at which the slots are machined creates a quiet running sport disc that still has benefits of removing gas, dirt, water and debris and MAINTAINING parallel pad wear. EBC have always been honest enough to say that the biggest advantage of slotted discs is the fact that they promote flat and parallel pad wear rather than allowing ridges to develop on pads and Discs which is typical of "drilled only" sport Discs. By preventing these ridges brakes stay more consistent throughout pad and disc wear life (simple physics!).




EBC 3GD Sport Discs

The unique wide aperture slots in the EBC sport disc actually draw cool air under the pad during heavy braking and reduce brake temperatures whilst also helping remove dirt, dust and debris and gasses created by heavy braking from the pad contact area. They also improve braking in off road conditions of wet, mud or sand and as such are a great choice for 4x4 vehicles. Blind drilled holes eliminate the chance of disc cracking which is common with “through drilled” or completely drilled vent holes.
